Off to the bead show

On Saturday, we'll be spending the day looking for new treasures at the BeadStreet show in Columbus. We both have wish lists ready, and hope to see our favorite pearl vendors again this year. The bead show is always a great place to get inspiration, as every year there are exciting new offerings.

Wire working adventures Well, after the buying frenzy at the Columbus Beadstreet show, we had lots of exiting new materials to work with. We decided that our next foray would be into the world of wire working. To that end, we signed up for a class at the Columbus Ally Bead Store. Our project was to create a bangle bead bracelet using copper and a variety of metal and lampwork beads. Our instructor, Carla Meinberg, was very patient with us, as we had skipped the intro to wire class, which we should have taken before this more advanced class. Aside from occasionally winging...
